The Peer Recovery Coach will manage and sustain community coalitions in the cities of Ecorse Lincoln Park Wyandotte and Taylor through the Drug Court Community Alliance. Building relationships and actively engaging diverse organizations and other community partners in addressing community issues or problems.
This position is full time hourly with a flexible schedule that includes days afternoons nights and weekends as needed.
The Recovery Coach must be able to obtain and maintain state certification
The Recovery Coach should be able to take direction be prompt take initiative complete tasks as assigned and be able to work effectively as part of a team that includes community stakeholders
The Recovery Coach should be articulate and have good communication skills
The Recovery Coach must complete and pass (provided)
Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Training 40 hrs.
Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment (SBIRT 12 hours)
CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches & SUD Professionals 16 hours)
Travel will be required for this position.
Clean driving record
One on one coaching and support to those in need
Respond as needed to referrals from community stakeholders
Facilitate a communitybased peer support group
Participate in staff community and program meetings
Work regularly with law enforcement and community partners
Participate in regular clinical supervision
Collect data and complete reports in a timely manner
Provide community presentations of the project
Participate in training
Other tasks as assigned
