Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Community Mobilizer involves communities engagement through coordination with local leaders mobilized participation in health services facilitated education sessions supported equitable aid distribution and relayed community feedback to strengthen trust and program effectiveness.
The contract type is Service Agreement and the duration is 3 months and extendable. The assign area are Mandalay Taunggyi and Sagaing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of Community Mobilizer include:
- Coordinate with local leaders and communities before mobile deployments to raise awareness of services.
- Mobilize target groups to attend health education sessions and mobile clinic visits.
- Lead or cofacilitate health education and risk communication sessions during field operations.
- Organize community members to support the safe and equitable distribution of humanitarian assistance (e.g. hygiene kits dignity kits food).
- Identify individuals with special needs (e.g. elderly pregnant women people with disabilities) for priority support.
- Collect community feedback and report concerns or emerging needs to the team leader.
- Foster trust and participation from local stakeholders to enhance community acceptance and sustainability.
Qualifications :
KEY SKILLS
The key skills required for the position of Community Mobilizer include:
- Technical Knowledge: Must have understanding on basic knowledge on health.
- Communication Skills: Must have exceptional communication skills.
- Local Knowledge: Must have indepth knowledge of the communities they live and work in.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least high school graduate (University Degree is preferable);
- Working experience on community activity is preferable.
- Must have good interpersonal communication skills;
- Should have in depth knowledge of the communities;
- Should be organized systematic and dynamic and must interact well with others.
