Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring Staff NurseTheatre into a Hospital in Galway Ireland.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the nursing team on day duty and perform duties as allocated by the Clinical Nurse Manager 2.
- Deliver skilled practical care to Theatre patients and participate in the monitoring of the planning delivery and evaluation of individualized patient care ensuring a patient centred focus.
- Be aware of the multifaceted needs of Theatre patients and provide a holistic support service for them and their families.
- Ensure that controlled drug records are kept in accordance with standard recognized legal and professional practice.
- Ensure safe practice is adhered to in the storage and administration of all in accordance with local policy and Department of Health / NMBI guidelines keeping patient and staff safety a priority.
- Supervise the nursing practice of less experienced staff members of the nursing team and participate in the educational aspects of that practice.
- Be aware of the multifaceted needs of emergency medical and surgical patients and provide a holistic support service for them and their families.
- Keep accurate comprehensive updated records and written reports as required and guided by NMBI recommendations.
- Ensure correct and economical use of Unit stocks and material and the safe and correct use of all equipment.
- Ensure the safe keeping of patient s belongings in accordance with hospital policy where necessary.
Requirements
- Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
- Three to five years minimum experience working as a theatre staff nurse
- Outstanding communication skills and the capacity to operate both alone and collaboratively.
- Adaptability in work procedures
- Evidence of continuous professional development and updating
