Our Head Office located directly across from Southern Cross Station offers a vibrant environment featuring a balcony BBQ area collaborative and quiet spaces and plenty of natural light.
About the role
You will join a wider team lead by our Purchasing Manager with your focus being on management of all aspects of purchasing activities for your assigned portfolio. This position plays a key role in supporting Operations team on material fulfilment and liaising with warehouse team suppliers and freight forwarders for all matters might arise in relation to order deliveries.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Raise and issue Purchase Orders with approved suppliers/clients in company ERP system or client portal.
Responsible for ongoing maintenance and closures of Purchase Orders update delivery ETAs and Drop Ship receipts.
Manage and resolve any supplier nonconformances identified by Warehouse or Operations team.
Source materials for direct/indirect when business unit requires.
Monitor delivery status and expedite deliveries to ensure project timelines are not affected.
Identify need for and assist in implementing new systems and processes which improve workflow and reduce cost.
Contribute to the management of supplier relationships ensuring services and quality of deliverables are maintained as per contractual agreements.
Demonstrate effective management of internal stakeholders providing advice gathering requirements and delivering strategic recommendations and solutions.
Support communication and adherence to internal controls policies and operational procedures particular to the Procurement environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Hands on experience of working with ERP systems.
Knowledge of suppliers sourcing & supply chain processes/procedures.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
Positive and proactive attitude.
Tertiary degree in relevant field desirable.
Strong communication skills(verbally and written) and attention to detail.
Honesty and integrity in dealing with external suppliers.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
