Tucson AZ Seeking Entry Level Scribe
Gain Experience Working SideBySide With Frontline Physicians
As part of our Medical Scribe program you play a vital role in supporting physicians and health care providers while gaining firsthand knowledge and practical experience in the field. At Vituity we know the impact you can have.

Vituity Locations: Vituity has opportunities at 475 sites across the country serving 9 million patients a year. As part of the Vituity Scribe Program there are multiple opportunities to fit your needs including gaining experience in units such as the Emergency Department Intensivist Care Telemetry and MedicalSurgical.
The Opportunity
- Must be available during weekdays and nights for night shifts.
- Firsthand exposure to a clinical setting for undergraduates or post baccalaureate students pursuing a career in healthcare.
- Great opportunity for students taking time off before Medical PA or NP school.
- Scribe hours are counted towards clinical training for most PA and medical school programs.
- Work oneonone with physicians and other health care providers. Become proficient in medical terminology and put you a few steps ahead of someone else that is entering the same program as you and has not had this experience.

- Completion of scribe application test is required if applying to more than one scribe position you are not required to take the eSkill assessment test beyond the first time unless wanting a better score from your first time.

Required Experience and Competencies
- Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine.
- Strong writing skills.
- Quick and accurate typing speed.
- Experience with medical terminology human anatomy and human physiology is preferred.
- Each scribe works 23 shifts per week (including weekends and a holiday).
- Ability to stand walk and follow a physician for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a stressful and fast paced environment.
- One 1 year commitment at this site continuous one year not a summer position.
- Excellent follow through.
- Selfmotivated.
The Practice
St. Josephs Hospital Tucson Arizona
- St. Josephs Hospital is a part of the Carondelet Health Network a fivehospital system in Tucson that serves all of Southern Arizona.
- Regional EMS base hospital and largest regional referral hospital of the system located on the east side of Tucson.
- 471 beds making it one of the larger hospitals in Tucson.
- 2024 ED volume averages 7080 patients per day (aging geriatric population) with a 33 admit rate 11 critical care.
- 810hour shifts.
- Adult Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 emergency services.
- Womens and OB Center with low acuity NICU.
- Recognized for excellence in cardiac care by various organizations and agencies.
St. Marys Hospital Tucson Arizona
- The first and oldest hospital in continuous operation in all of Arizona (since 1880. Located on the west side of Tucson near downtown.
- 2024 ED volume averages 8090 patients per day (underserved population) with a 20 admit rate 7 critical care.
- 810hour shifts.
- Heart and Vascular Specialty Center Primary Stroke Center Plus Comprehensive Structural Heart Center Bariatric Center.
- Regional EMS base hospital.
- Inpatient Geriatric Psych Unit.
- Contracted hospital with Arizona Department of Corrections for inmates.
