Job Description

The team provides a range of services designed to empower and equip young individuals with the skills and resources needed to navigate lifes challenges. The team team is passionate about making a difference and creating positive change in our community.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamicOccupational Therapistto join the team. This leadership role will oversee our occupational therapy services ensuring highquality support for young people experiencing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidencebased interventions that promote engagement independence and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of occupational therapists providing guidance mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Deliver highquality personcentered occupational therapy interventions to young people experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals educators families and community services to provide holistic support.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with best practice guidelines and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to program development evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for young people and their right to accessible effective mental health support.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapyand current registration with AHPRA.
  • Strong understanding of mental health challenges affecting young people and adults.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role including staff supervision and team development. (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with young people families and stakeholders effectively.
  • A commitment to evidencebased practice and continuous professional development.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to manage complex cases with a personcentered approach.
  • A valid Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check and the right to work in Australia.
