Lead Sustainability Reporting

Job Description Summary

The Lead Sustainability Reporting will be responsible for overseeing and managing the companys ESG reporting and compliance activities. This role requires an indepth understanding of global ESG standards regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive sustainability initiatives. This position will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will have regular interaction with Corporate Finance Sustainability Facilities HR Legal and other teams.

Job Description

  • Responsible for driving leading and overseeing AAMs ESG reporting strategy and integrating ESG reporting into AAMs financial reporting structure.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory developments and global ESG frameworks including industry trends and best practices related to ESG reporting.
  • Ensure ESG reporting compliance and coordination across all AAM departments and locations.
  • Work closely with AAMs Sustainability department to ensure strategic alignment across a wide range of ESG projects and initiatives such as the annual Sustainability report CSRD and CDP reporting.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to collect precise ESG data develop project plans for ESG reporting readiness identify gaps and maintain communication with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Design implement and monitor an internal control framework over ESG data collection and reporting processes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Required Skills and Education:

  • 57 years of experience
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting finance or related field of study is required.
  • Experience in accounting or finance compliance and/or regulatory reporting; recent ESG experience preferred.

Preferred Skills and Education:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Prior experience with assessing designing and implementing endtoend processes procedures and internal controls a plus.
  • Experience in automotive industry preferred.
  • Above average or advanced PC skills required (e.g. Microsoft Excel Access Word); Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (i.e. for presentations meeting facilitation etc.
  • Selfstarter with ability to complete projects starttofinish
