Ivy Tech Bloomington is searching for a Recruitment and Retention Specialist for the School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Science. This is a full time grant funded position to help support recruitment and retention.
Salary:$46500

General Purpose and Scope:
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist supports the School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Sciences (SAMEAS) through identifying and implementing strategies to recruit and retain career and technical education (CTE) students especially within the skilled trades. In addition this staff member will help develop and run a resource center for students within the school. This is a two year grant funded position. Should the position be effective at increasing recruitment and retention we will ask that it become a permanent campus funded position.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Strategies
- Research best practices and collaborate with the Dean and faculty to identify effective recruitment and retention strategies for CTE students especially in the skilled trades.
- Execute monitor and assess the effectiveness of these strategies.
2. Recruitment and Outreach
- Plan coordinate and participate in recruitment and retention events both on and off campus.
- Collaborate with Ivy Career Link to transition students from skills training programs into academic programs.
3. Student Support and Retention
- Establish and manage a resource center to provide academic and professional support for students.
- Organize and oversee programspecific group study sessions.
- Engage with students to assess resource needs and develop retentionfocused initiatives.
4. Marketing and Communication
- Assist the Dean in managing the schools social media presence to enhance engagement and outreach
5. Grant Support and Compliance
- Support grantwriting efforts including cocurricular fund applications Circle of Ivy applications and Perkins grant submissions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student enrollment records in compliance with College policies and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
6. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with best practices and institutional goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher.
- Recognizes the need to maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student enrollment records.
- A team player.
- Experience and knowledge of computer software (including all Microsoft products) required.
- Good listening and customer service skills in working with students and the general public as well as college personnel.
- Fully supports the Colleges mission and strategic plan initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Career and Technical Education Higher Education and or research is a plus.

This is a grant funded position for two years. That could potentially lead to permanent funding from the campus.
