Warehouse Clerk Location: Mansfield Ohio FLSA Status: NonExempt JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in our logistics operations handling shipping receiving and inventory management while ensuring compliance with cleanliness and safety protocols. This position supports both the parts sales team and external sales representatives by efficiently responding to quote and fulfillment requests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Coordinate outbound shipments including picking packing and loading to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage incoming shipping activities verifying accuracy completeness and condition of all shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Document and record product transfers accurately.
- Enter data into the ERP system and maintain uptodate reports.
- Verify and maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare items for shipping receiving storage and inventory management.
- Utilize knowledge of shipping procedures routes and rates to optimize operations.
- Create and submit damage claims to carriers as necessary.
- Review shipping records for accuracy and compliance promptly notifying the purchasing manager of low stock levels.
- Compile records of unfulfilled orders as needed.
- Calculate shipping weights and charges; prepare bills of lading accurately.
- Report any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety regulations.
- Uphold professionalism in all interactions and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in reporting to work as scheduled.
- Perform additional duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION - High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE - Factory/Warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience or training preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS - General knowledge of warehouse operations inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
- Proficient in warehouse management software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills enabling effective interaction with team members and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a proven capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy in inventory records and documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
