Job Description

ASSYST is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and building scalable systems to collect store and analyze data along with expertise in modern data engineering tools and technologies. This role requires handson experience with ETL processes cloud computing data pipeline development and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.

This position requires at least 3 years of US residency to obtain a Federal Security Clearance.

Scope of Work:
  • Develop robust and scalable data architectures to collect process and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into efficient data solutions.
  • Design implement and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources ensuring accuracy efficiency and reliability.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Build and manage automated data pipelines to integrate information from disparate systems supporting datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure data consistency.
  • Leverage Snowflakes cloud data platform for data storage querying and processing.
  • Implement data warehousing best practices including schema design and performance tuning in Snowflake environments.
  • Develop and deploy data engineering solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS leveraging services like Lambda IAM and orchestration tools.
  • Collaborate using GitHub for version control and implement robust testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Utilize Python SQL and NoSQL databases to build and maintain efficient data systems.
  • Write clean maintainable and welldocumented code to support datarelated tasks and workflows.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Handson expertise with Snowflake ETL tools and data pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing specifically AWS including familiarity with services such as Lambda IAM and orchestration tools.
  • Strong programming skills in Python SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts data modeling and database design.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
