Job Summary About the Role
Deliver high quality recreation services for residents visitors and the St. Charles community by adhering to the Districts safety and administrative policies and procedures.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
This position is well suited for someone who is friendly energetic and interested in assisting and engaging children in interactive recreational and educational activities.
Required: Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be willing to work with livestock including large animals. Should be able to work and communicate effectively with campers parents and farm staff. Must be available for the entire 9week farm camp program. A strong background in education/childcare/coaching knowledge of facetoface program delivery and a valid drivers license. Work/volunteer record that shows reliability initiative and good interpersonal skills. Must have or complete DCFS Mandated Reporter and CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred: One year of experience in education recreation or a similar field.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and Planning the Assistant Superintendent of Outdoor Education the Manager of Farm Programs and Interpretive Services and the Farm Programs Supervisor the Primrose Farm Camp Counselor shall complete all assigned duties to the best of their abilities offering suggestions of better ways to accomplish jobs and be ever mindful of the best interests of the St. Charles Park District and of fellow employees. This position requires extensive knowledge and ability to:
