SUMMARY

If youve got talent with tools and especially electrical experience you may be the perfect addition to the Sierra Building Maintenance team. This fulltime role will keep you busy both Winter and Summer as maintenance doesnt stop when the snow melts! Work with a talented team performing general maintenance and repair to all facilities at the resort including but not limited to carpentry plumbing electrical painting and basic construction.

Duties and Responsibilities are (but not limited to):

  1. Perform general maintenance and repair jobs including carpentry and painting plumbing heating systems electrical appliance repair and basic construction.
  2. Assess and handle preventative maintenance repairs.
  3. Ability to work independently and as a team.
  4. Help with other departments as needed.
  5. Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  6. Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
  7. Flexible working hours.


RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
1. Protect the safety of self coworkers and SierraatTahoe Resort guests at all times.
2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
3. Report safetyrelated accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Twoyear certificate from a college or technical school; two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Valid class C drivers license. Resort certification on all necessary equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to ski/ride at an intermediate level or above. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
