Description

Emerson is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to join our Global HQ Finance department within the Actuation Technologies business unit. Located in our Houston TX office you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our organization. As a Finance Analyst you will collaborate closely with World Areas and Actuation Technologies leadership team facilitating communication and ensuring robust reporting practices. Your responsibilities will span from monthly financial statement reporting quarterly POR submission and annual forecast creation to board meetings strategic reviews and financial analysis. Youll also work on consolidating supplemental reports required by the corporate drive automation initiatives to enhance our financial reporting procedures. Your analytical prowess attention to detail and problemsolving skills will be crucial as you provide decision support to senior leadership through adhoc analysis of key financial metrics.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Be a key member for the Global HQ Finance department of Actuation Technologies business unit a large enterprise within Emerson Company.
  • Be a liaison with the leadership team for communication and reporting.
  • Assist with the monthly quarterly and annually updates to the Actuation Technologies Financial Planning Cycle which consist of monthly financial documents reporting quarterly POR submission annual forecast creation board meetings strategics reviews profit and financial reviews among others.
  • Consolidate world areas quarterly and annually supplemental reporting required by corporate
  • Drive and implement automation opportunities in our regular procedures.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas within the organization during preparation of financial information.
  • Create analyze and review adhoc management inquires of key financial metrics for decision support for senior leadership as requested.
  • Employees in this salaried exempt role may occasionally be required to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule to fulfill business needs and meet critical deadlines.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or similar required
  • CPA certification or experience working for a CPA firm
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of work experience in Accounting or Finance field
  • Lead multiple projects demonstrate solid accounting and USGAAP knowledge
  • Strong analytical organizational thorough and solving problems skills
  • Demonstrate persistence perseverance and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • HFM knowledge is a plus.
  • Solid Accounting and USGAAP knowledge.
