Job Description
The Kinsley Group is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills attention to detail and a passion for process improvement. Reporting to the Controller this role is essential in maintaining financial accuracy ensuring compliance and enhancing operational efficiency. Youll help produce monthly internal financial statements and lead indepth quarterly reporting to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
This position follows a hybrid work model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record accurate journal entries for assets liabilities revenues and expenses
- Maintain and balance subledger and general ledger accounts
- Oversee account reconciliation using FloQast
- Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate closings
- Produce monthly trial balances and comprehensive financial reports (P&L balance sheet cash flow)
- Analyze financial statements to uncover trends and improvement opportunities
- Manage and execute weekly payroll with precision including tax withholdings and benefits
- Calculate file and manage Sales and Use Tax compliance across federal state and local jurisdictions
- Assist with audits tax support and general accounting functions
- Collaborate on ad hoc assignments and crossdepartmental projects
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- 5 years of accounting/finance experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (ERP implementation experience a bonus)
- Selfmotivated with excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
