Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist you will:
Assess and develop personalized treatment plans for patients in both home care and inpatient settings.
Implement and modify corrective exercises and treatment programs including gait training mobility exercises electrical stimulation and more.
Educate patients on proper equipment use (wheelchairs crutches braces etc..
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians and nurses to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations treatment plans progress reports and discharge summaries.
Provide mentorship and direction to support staff assisting in patient care.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols ensuring a secure environment for patients and staff.
Participate in professional development opportunities workshops and training sessions.
What Were Looking For
Education & Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible to obtain a license to practice Physical Therapy in New York State at the time of hire.
Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 30 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
Skills: Strong communication patient care and teamwork skills.
