Job Description
We are recruiting for a part time Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team at the Hospice in Brentry.
Working in a supportive and collaborative environment for a muchloved local Charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of thousands of patients their families and carers when it matters most you will help to prepare cook and serve food and beverages to patients.
The details
- 16 hours per week
- 14:30 18:30 Mondays Thursdays and every other weekend
- 9:00 13:00Fridays
- Permanent position
What you will do
- Be a vital part of the cateringoperation and ensure our busy kitchensrun smoothly
- Assist with the preparation cooking and serving of food and beverages.
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy
- Clean equipment ovens fryers etc
What you willbring:
- A cando attitude and flexible approach to working
- Excellent attention to detail plus good communication skills
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a similar role
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- General knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
- Knowledge of allergy requirements

St Peters Hospice is a wellloved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peters Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.
Many of our staff work directly with patients and their families in nursing health care and medical jobs. Others raise money to support patient care through our chain of over 40 charity shops and our fundraising activities. We also have a significant number of staff working in varied officebased roles.

Our Inpatient Unit is a stateoftheart centre of clinical excellence that was built with the generous support of the people of Bristol. The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
