Flowers Early Learning is a highquality preschool located in Cassopolis Michigan and is currently looking for two InfantToddler Teachers serving classrooms with children ages 03.

Position Summary: InfantToddler Teachers provide nurturing care supervision support and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children aged 03. Responsibilities include implementing High Scope curriculum and social emotional growth strategies like Conscious Discipline performing regular observations and assessments and ensuring that the classroom meets all Head Start and Michigan childcare licensing requirements. In the Head Start program teachers build childfocused partnerships with families to promote consistent developmental strategies and work as a team with coworkers and volunteers to ensure that all classrooms meet health safety and quality standards.
Job Type: Early Head Start (Full Year) Exempt/ Salary
Expected Schedule: 40 hours MondayFriday 8:00a 4:30p
Rate of Pay: Child Development Associate Certificate (Infant Toddler) $17.12 AA $18.40 BA or higher $20.94
Education Requirement: Minimum Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education (must be attained within four years of hire). Candidates without at least an Associates Degree must complete Child Development Apprenticeship upon hire. Preferred Child Development Associate Certificate (infant/toddler) and two years of related experience.

Other Selection Criteria: All candidates must be age 18 or older possess a valid drivers license and their own reliable transportation complete a physical examination comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check and preemployment drug screen including a negative result for Amphetamines Cannabinoids (including /THC) Opiates and Phencyclidine (PCP). is not legal at the federal level and is prohibited in the workplace or in ones system even if legally prescribed.
