Job Description

MRI Runner Olympia Orthopaedic Associates

Location: Olympia WA

Job Type: Parttime

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 9am4pm

Pay: $16.66 $23.11 per hour

(Pay is determined based on years of experience)

Summary of benefits:

Olympia Orthopaedics is a drugfree alcoholfree and smokefree workplace. If offered employment passage of background screen and preemployment drug screen is required. Please note nicotine levels are included in testing.

MRI Runner Job Duties:

  • Directs patients to and from the patient seating area. Walks the patients from MRI scan suites to their dressing room.
  • Prepares patients for their MRI by instructing them how to properly change and remove all metal objects from their body. Assists patients if needed.
  • Relays patient paperwork from the patient to the MRI Technologist completing the scans.
  • Maintains dressing room cleanliness and stocks necessary supplies as needed in the rooms (i.e. shorts gowns).
  • Tracks inventory items and reports to MRI Lead when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Keeps scan rooms on time by ensuring patients are ready in a timely manner.
  • Completes impedance checks for patients who have implants prior to scanning.
  • Provides lunch coverage for receptionist through a reduced checkin process.

MRI Runner Job Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
