Configuration Management & Digital Engineering Support Specialist Senior

Responsibilities:

• Administer and enhance the configuration control process using CMPro and Microsoft 365based tools in accordance with the customers approved Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
• Coordinate and facilitate Configuration Review Boards (CRBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) ensuring proposed changes Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) follow established workflows and approval authorities.
• Support the establishment documentation and control of Functional Allocated and Product baselines. Assist with the creation and maintenance of baseline descriptions and the tracking of Engineering Release Records (ERRs).
• Convert traditional system requirements for communications systems into digital formats compatible with modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering tools (e.g. DOORS Cameo).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital thread/digital twin capabilities by aligning requirements design artifacts and test data within a shared digital environment (e.g. DOORS Next Jama Cameo).
• Organize and participate in Technical Reviews Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and IPTs; prepare meeting agendas record minutes and track action items.
• Advise and train government and contractor team members on digital engineering best practices and configuration control processes to improve enterpriselevel data integrity and decisionmaking.
• Support the development and implementation of structured repeatable CM workflows using Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint TEAMS and Power Platform applications.
• Track the implementation status of approved ECPs and report through Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) tools including CMPro and SharePoint.
• Participate in Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA) to validate baselines and ensure system conformance with configuration documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to analyze impacts of proposed changes on system interfaces interoperability sustainment and lifecycle cost.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in systems engineering Information Management or related technical field.
• 8 years of experience supporting configuration management and/or systems engineering in a DoD acquisition environment.
• Handson experience using CMPro or a comparable CM/PLM system for configuration control CSA and version management.
• Deep understanding of CM processes including baseline establishment ECP processing and configuration identification.
• Familiarity with digital engineering tools and practices such as SysML Cameo and IBM DOORS.
• Working knowledge of DoD configuration management standards including EIA649 MILHDBK61B and MILSTD31000.
• Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to track multiple technical baselines.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams SharePoint Excel) and capable of implementing structured workflows in those environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting USMC or other service acquisition organizations.
• Knowledge of communications systems C4ISR platforms or electromagnetic warfare systems.
• Familiarity with the Marine Corps use of JEDMICS TOPIC and the Global Combat Support SystemMarine Corps (GCSSMC).
• INCOSE certification or formal training in modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) or digital engineering.

Salary Range $95000 to $120000 (Based on Experience)
