Job Description
Job Title: PI Senior Underwriter
Reporting to: Underwriting Manager PI
Location: Manchester
Position Type: Permanent 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Frances Eaton in delivering the Manchester business plan
- Provide PI underwriting service to brokers on all professions underwritten within Tokio Marine HCC appetite
- Underwriting of risks within authority and referral of risks outside of authority.
- Handling referrals of Underwriters below L4 and supporting their professional development.
- Monitoring of Broker accounts / performance
- Development of broker relationships in the Northern region
- Developing scheme and affinity PI and PI led combined business and in cooperation with London and Liability colleagues
- Developing PI led liability CAR Management Liability and Cyber business where appropriate.
- Attending in house / external training sessions and actively maintaining own training record
- Dealing with Brokers via telephone and correspondence within required service levels
- Undertake any other ad hoc activities / project work as required
- Assist in planning and reporting of regional results
Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential:
- Technical PI Underwriting knowledge
- Knowledge of all professional sectors offering design and consultancy services
- Communication and development skills
Desirable:
- ACCI Qualification
