Description

Join Atrium Health Navicent a premier healthcare system in Central Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Heart Tower Cardiac Telemetry 5HT) unit. This unit specializes in the care of patients with cardiac conditions requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. LPNs work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver highquality patientcentered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments under the direction of a Clinical Nurse
  • Accurately document patient observations medications and interventions
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Support patients and families by providing education and emotional support
  • Adhere to safety regulatory and hospital infection control protocols
  • Always maintain professionalism and confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a stateapproved Technical School of Licensed Practical Nursing

Experience:

  • 12 months of medicalsurgical or physician office nursing experience preferred
  • Computer literacy and EMR documentation skills required

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current LPN license with the Georgia State Board of Licensed Practical Nursing
  • Current CPR certification required

Supervision:

  • This position does not supervise other roles

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and reporting
  • Adaptable to changes in patient needs and care environments
  • Uses sound judgment and common sense in decisionmaking
  • Demonstrates tact and diplomacy with patients families and staff
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality

  • Understands the critical impact of accuracy in medication administration and procedures
