*SIGNON BONUS New FT RNs are eligible for a signon bonus of $5000! (minimum 1 year RN experience required).
*Current board certification as WOC (ET) nurse (CWOCN) by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board or presently enrolled in WOCN accredited ET program with certification within 12 months of hire. Refer to the Educational/Regulatory Requirement (Department Specific) policy in the Nursing Administrative Manual.
Summary:
Responsible for assessing diagnosing planning implementing and evaluating patient care needs with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal genitourinary and integumentary systems through outcome identification and evidencebased practice.
Coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with healthcare team patients and/or patients family or significant other(s).
Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs an gastrointestinal genitourinary and integumentary assessment of the patient leading to development implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
Administers monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes related to wound ostomy or continence.
Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
Participates in clinical decisionmaking.
Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process individual care needs wellness safety issues etc.
Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
Participates in orientation education and development of healthcare team.
Identifies and participates in the performance improvement activities.
Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to achieve highest clinical quality.
Review of patient cases and implementation of evidenced based practice to affect patient outcomes.
Develops and presents recommendations to nursing leadership for best practice that supports nursing excellence.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Must have valid NJ RN License. Approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
Current board certification as WOC (ET) nurse (CWOCN) by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board or presently enrolled in WOCN accredited ET program with certification within 12 months of hire. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing skills hospital practices procedures and standards.
Perfects skills and stays abreast of current nursing practice through ongoing education journals etc.
Must have strong communication skills.
Must be able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
Must have current proof of drivers license and auto insurance if position requires travel within hospital system.
Required Education:
