Job Description
Job responsibilities:
- Serve as an Actuarial Analyst conducting actuarial assessments and supporting the development and maintenance of actuarial models.
- Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to uncover business opportunities and deliver tailored actuarial solutions.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelors degree or higher in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or a related discipline.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive actuarial evaluations.
- Understanding of insurance markets and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication capabilities.
- Selfmotivated and collaborative with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Handson experience in building and maintaining Prophet actuarial models.
- Solid knowledge of actuarial principles including statutory and traditional embedded values economic capital and IFRS standards.
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools and programming languages.
- Actuarial certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills.
- ASA or FSA designation (or an equivalent qualification) is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the Kelly Criterion and normal distribution principles.
