Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Junior Designer with experience in hydraulics and drainage design to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment concept feasibility preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years throughout the US Canada Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects being part of a diverse and multicultural team within EC Europe.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to hydraulics and drainage.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Performs hydraulics and drainage engineering work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Performs a selfcheck of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
- Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Proven track record of working on hydraulics and drainage designs and collaborating with international and multicultural teams 4 years).
- Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e. AASTHO AWWA Australian Codes British Standards etc..
- Skilled in hydraulics and hydrology software packages related to the expertise offered by the candidate (HECRAS 1D/2D HECHMS XPSWMM Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital platforms as ArcGIS and CADD (Civil3D MicroStation and/or OpenRoads)
- Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
- Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Environmental or Water Engineering or related field
- US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
