You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Mental Health Crisis Nurse provides assessment triage treatment/discharge planning and crisis intervention to patients in the Emergency Department and the Urgent Care Clinic as part of the Mental Health Program. They provide telephone follow up for patients in our Brief Contact Intervention service and provide support and navigation for patients outside of Halton Region.
Qualifications :
Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses.
Five years of experience working in acute Mental Health.
Minimum 3 years Crisis ED experience
* recent outpatient experience working in a fastpaced clinic model
Advanced crisis assessment highrisk screening knowledge of community resources and the Mental Health Act.
Crisis Intervention Experience/CPI certification
Solid knowledge and understanding of Addictions certification is preferred
Ability to rapidly change workload priorities
Demonstrates excellence in communication both written and verbal.
Analysis/Problem assessment
Innovative and willing to learn
Commitment to positive patient experience
Additional Information :
REFRESH
Hours: Monday to Sunday; Days 7.5 hour shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
Salary: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
