Job Description

Job Title: Welding Instructor
Pay: $55000 $80000 (Based on Experience)
Hours: Monday Friday 6:00 AM 3:30 PM (Potential Saturdays; hours may vary)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: North Tulsa OK

Position Summary

A leading sheet metal company in the Tulsa area is seeking a passionate and experienced Welding Instructor to join its training team. This fulltime directhire position is ideal for a skilled welder with extensive 3G and 6G expertise who thrives in a mentorship role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in welding techniques processes and safety practices while helping students develop the skills needed for successful welding careers.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct handson and classroom instruction in welding techniques with an emphasis on 3G and 6G positions.

Teach students in SMAW GTAW and GMAW welding processes as well as pipe and plate welding blueprint reading and safety standards.

Develop lesson plans course materials assignments and assessments aligned with program objectives.

Evaluate student progress provide constructive feedback and support skill development.

Maintain a clean organized and safe shop environment while enforcing safety protocols.

Stay current with welding industry standards certifications and technologies.

Assist in curriculum development and ongoing program enhancement.

Provide mentorship and career guidance to students.

Manage student records attendance and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in the welding industry.

Certified in 3G and 6G welding (SMAW GTAW or GMAW as applicable).

Prior teaching or training experience preferred.

Excellent communication organization and leadership skills.

Ability to motivate educate and support students from diverse backgrounds.
