Job Description
Responsibilities;
- Oversee virtual machine setup configuration and monitoring to meet business needs ensuring efficient resource use and system performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance on onpremises systems (e.g. VMware Nutanix HPE) to ensure optimal performance reliability and security.
- Manage virtual machines oversee server health and proactively monitor and optimize storage capacity to ensure efficient system performance.
- Manage backups ensure data integrity and test recovery plans regularly.
- Efficiently lead system recovery to reduce downtime and data loss.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across onpremises infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware issues promptly and efficiently.
- Support hardware/software upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
- Document all changes and update system diagrams and configurations accordingly
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of five 5 years of experience in systems administration.
- Strong understanding of virtual environments including Nutanix vSphere and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Valid industrial certification in virtualization/hyperconverged technologies and Veeam Backup and Replication.
- Proficient in backup strategies using Veeam Backup and Replication.
- Ability to think through problems logically and visualize solutions.
- Project management skills with the ability to set priorities and deliver projects timely.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to learn of new technologies and products through public documentation and internet resources.
