Job Description

On behalf of one of our returning family clients REALLY lovely employers:

We are looking for a warm caring and experienced nanny to join a loving family based in Central London Covent Garden ASAP. The family has two young children a little boy aged three and a half and a baby girl who is 10 months old. They are seeking someone who is patient kind energetic and has a calm presence yet can maintain firm and consistent boundaries. They would love a nanny who sees difficult moments as opportunities for teaching and growth and who can bring fun creativity and warmth into the children s daily lives.

The role will be a mix of shared care and sole charge approximately fiftyfifty so the nanny must be comfortable working alongside handson parents while also being confident in taking full responsibility when required. The position is fulltime for at least 2 weeks with working hours from Monday to Friday 9 am to 7 pm totalling fifty hours per week. The family are initially looking for a temp nanny however if everything goes well they would be looking to extend this or book with the nanny another time.

Mum is at home with the children dad often has to work overseas and that is when they particularly need additional support.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with both babies and young children with a strong understanding of child development and ageappropriate activities. Must have experience with active little boys!

The family has a particular preference for a Norland Nanny or someone with equivalent training and experience. They are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about childcare who can nurture and support the children s emotional and social development and who will encourage good manners and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities will include planning and engaging the children in stimulating activities supporting meal and nap routines assisting with feeding and helping with light nursery duties such as tidying toys and children s laundry.

Requirements

Live within reasonable commute of Covent Garden

7 years childcare experience

Educated trained nanny (preferably Norland Degree but not a requirement)

Up to date Enhanced DBS

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate

Right to work in UK & already living in the UK) and have proof

Good references for recent and relevant nanny work

Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.



The ideal candidate will be a fluent Englishspeaker with experience caring for toddlers, including supporting developmental milestones like potty training. They should be warm, energetic, and creative, with a natural ability to engage children in fun and educational activities. A proactive and organised approach is essential, as well as a tidy and respectful attitude towards the family s home. Someone who enjoys cooking healthy meals, values outdoor play and screen-free learning, and can offer flexibility when needed would be a great fit for this role.
