Job Description

Due to our continued growth throughout 2025 OCU Group has a new opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Neath South Wales.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contractual issues on projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise financial acumen and excellent communication skills.

We work effectively and efficiently in a fastpaced environment achieving our goals and succeeding with the work we do and the way we grow.

Candidates with Power/Energy experience will be at an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on architectural drawings specifications and other relevant information.
    • Develop detailed project budgets including materials labour equipment and overhead costs.
    • Monitor project costs throughout the process and identify areas where costs can be optimised.
    • Manage the tendering process including preparing tender documents evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

    Skills and Experience

    • Bachelors degree in quantity surveying construction management or a related field.
    • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS/CICES) or working towards chartered status is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts procurement processes and cost management principles.
