About the unit
Big Rapids Emergency Department is a communitybased hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The Big Rapids ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are 20 places to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationshipbased care for our patients and their loved ones. Big Rapids ED has over 27000 visits/year and ranks highly in patient experience and throughput measures. We value teamwork culture and process improvement from each member of our team!

Scope of work
As a Nursing Technician with Corewell Health providing topnotch patient care is paramount. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider youll be performing basic nursing skills observing patients and communicating those observations to the other members of the team. Youll be a vital part of our team making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
This is a direct patient care role and duties will include Taking Vitals Checking Blood Sugar Wound Care Bed bathing Toileting Ambulating Catheterization and acting as safety attendant for patients as needed. Additionally you could be involved in Postmortem care doing EKGs changing over rooms/sanitizing.

Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in direct patient care is preferred
