The position is based onsite in Colorado Springs CO.

OVERVIEW

The Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer Junior is responsible for designing planning coordinating and executing testing as well as providing terminal operations support for a variety of systems including the Family of Beyond LineofSight Terminals (FABT) Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT) Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP) Milstar Messaging System (MMS) Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Ground Multiband Terminal (GMT) and other MILSATCOM devices and subsystems.

TheSustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer Junior will:

  • Design plan coordinate execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond LineofSight Terminals (FABT) Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT) Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP) Milstar Messaging System (MMS) Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Ground Multiband Terminal (GMT) various other systems subsystems and MILSATCOM devices
  • Provide engineering and technicianlevel support for each of the above systems including integration communication circuit troubleshooting and systemlevel anomaly resolution
  • Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
  • Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans test procedures system configuration diagrams engineering studies technical white papers and test reports

Qualifications

Required:

  • This position is entrylevel up to 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
  • Bachelors degree in engineering mathematics physics computer science or equivalent technical discipline
  • Ability to understand DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
  • Ability to understand working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • Ability to understand MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
  • Must be a motivated selfstarter capable of autonomous onthejob learning/improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written verbal communications and presentation skills


Desired:

  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or higher
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to produce technical Statements of Work (SOW) Bill of Materials
  • Operational Test experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency or Organization Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: MPSS FABT AFCPT TDSPP MMS GMT GBS Receive Suites cryptographic equipment (e.g. KIV7M ANDVT KGV11 KG250 or related infrastructure and/or support equipment

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or related field. In lieu of degree 8 years of IT experience and domain expertise in one or more of the following areas Cloud Cybersecurity Software or Enterprise IT.
