Job Description
Job Title: Athletics Game Day Worker Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Athletic Director Pay Grade: Extra Duty Athletic Pay
Dept./School: Athletics Date Revised: 7/25/2024
Primary Purpose:
Game day workers assist in the setup operation and tear down of athletic events during the sports seasons.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Punctuality and attention to detail are critical components of employment
- Duties may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and working in extremely warm or cold elements outdoors.
- Schedule flexibility Hours may vary depending upon scheduled contest.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Setup of field or court for games.
- Provide assistance during contest in areas such as concessions ticket operations and sport specific activities (e.g. ball shagging equipment operations).
- Workers are required to assist with postgame tear down clean up and securing of equipment.
- Assistance may also be required for athletic or institutional event specific activities before during or immediately following contests.
