Job Description
The Holyoke Public Schools is seeking substitute custodians to work as needed on a daily basis. Successful applicants will be placed on a call list and notified when work opportunities become available. Substitutes are atwill and temporary employees.
Job Duties:
Substitutes work as part of a team of custodians within a building to perform general cleaning duties. Custodians must operate equipment as required and must appropriately handle cleaning supplies.
Job Requirements:
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to work as a member of a team
- ability to take direction from supervisor
- ability to work independently with guidance or direction
- attention to detail
- ability to perform physical tasks such as mopping sweeping lifting trash cans moving furniture and other similar duties.
