Position Summary

Omnicare Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of CVS Health Corporation.

Directly and through our subsidiaries Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacyrelated services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty we also serve other targeted populations.

As a pharmacy intern for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you will work in an exciting dynamic and fast paced environment ensuring the continuation of pharmacy managements goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. Omnicare Pharmacist provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening information processing and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers.

You will:

  • Entry of orders
  • Adhere to required delivery schedules
  • Complete new and refill labels and orders
  • Complete drug packaging and labeling
  • Preparation of sterile IV drug products or solutions if required
  • Offering Health Screenings and Immunizations when appropriate
  • Customer Service
  • Patient Safety
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice
  • Regulatory Requirements
  • Inventory Management
  • Other duties as assigned (these vary by location)

The Pharmacy Intern is an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement quality and service. The most successful pharmacy interns demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state in which you are employed
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances

Preferred Qualifications:

Long Term Care pharmacy experience

Education:

Current enrollment in a US School of Pharmacy

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


$18.50 $31.72
