We are seeking a Level 2 Zscaler Administrator to support the deployment and management of our Zscaler security solutions across our enterprise environment. This role involves configuration troubleshooting and optimization of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking and security protocols and knowledge of the Zscaler solution
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
Zscaler Administration:
o Participate in the deployment and management of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) to achieve a Zero Trust architecture and principles to ensure secure access to network resources and mitigate potential risks.
o Support the configuration optimization and modification of Zscaler policies including access control URL filtering and threat prevention.
o Support the configuration optimization and modification of Zscaler Private Service Edges App Connectors Client Connectors logging and other related Zscaler components and functionality.
o Monitor and troubleshoot Zscaler performance issues using advanced diagnostic tools included but not limited to ZDX.
Networking & Security:
o Maintain and optimize secure connectivity between users and applications leveraging Zscalers Zero Trust Exchange.
o Collaborate with network and security teams to implement Zscaler solutions with existing enterprise infrastructure.
o Ensure compliance with Enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
o Support the application to DISA STIG (Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide) to maintain compliance with security standards for government and military environments.
o Support the Zscaler security solution to provide secure internet access and ensure seamless remote user protection.
o Support regular security audits vulnerability assessments and system hardening to identify and address potential risks.
Integration & Automation:
o Support the integration of Zscaler with Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Azure AD and Okta.
o Leverage APIs to automate policy updates reporting and monitoring.
o Work closely with DevOps teams to enhance Zscaler capabilities through scripting and automation.
Incident Management:
o Respond to and resolve escalated incidents related to Zscaler solutions.
o Analyze logs and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
o Provide expert guidance during audits and security assessments.
Training & Documentation:
o Support the maintenance of documentation for configurations processes and troubleshooting procedures.
o Learn internal teams on Zscaler best practices and usage.
o Ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and adapt to evolving technologies
o Other duties as assigned.
Communication:
o Solid verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Requirements: I have already done that or have it!
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
2 years of experience in IT/network security with at least 12 years specializing in Zscaler administration.
Expertlevel knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). Indepth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP DNS VPN IPsec etc..
Handson experience with SDWAN and Zscaler integration.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Adaptability in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of SIEM tools like Splunk for log analysis and monitoring.
