The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 276 guest rooms including 10 Villas with 48 luxury sleeping rooms as well as 25000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930s hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA FourDiamond Award winner.
Develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations. Sales Associates are given opportunities to learn about basic aspects of retail operations including merchandising guest service skills and store inventory. This position is responsible for providing friendly efficient and courteous service in The Shops at The Hotel Hershey to achieve the departments goals for the year.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Serve as frontline team member assisting in all Hotel retail locations as the business warrants
Provide exceptional guest service within your assigned store location including entering sales into POS system for a positive checkout experience
Answer guest inquiries in person and over the phone in a timely manner.
Exhibit thorough product knowledge and upselling techniques to guests
Maintain store appearance standards to ensure the store is stocked and assist in other inventory management tasks as needed
Resolve immediate guest concerns partnering with lead staff when needed to prevent recurring guest service issues
Identify safety and maintenance related issues and relay these concerns to store leadership to ensure they are addressed
Help execute the Hotel Amenities program
Follow all cash handling procedures in accordance with Resort Revenue Group SOPs
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age or older on the date of applying
One year of retail/customer service experience preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proven guest relations problem solving task management skills and organizational skills
Professional and effective communication skills
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
Must be able to speak write and understand English
Must display a positive attitude eagerness to learn and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
Job Demands:
This position is available year round and requires a high level of independence.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and holidays
Physical requirements include standing 75100 of the shift) sitting walking bending pushing pulling lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance finger dexterity and communicating effectively
