As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Identifies problem or opportunity areas develop and implement fixes and changes as necessary
- Investigates issues reported by Production Management
- Execute Release Process and all changes for the application/environment
- Coordinate between infrastructure platform and application subject matter experts to promote reliability efforts through communication and best practice sharing
- Collaborate effectively with various teams such as Site Reliability Engineering Product Management DevOps and Leadership
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in application development and support for associated infrastructure and experience primarily Trading based application Linux based
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) writing/reading java C and Python code
- Expertise in taking a task from gathering requirements to deployment and maintenance
- Proficient with configuration management and build tools and continuous integration environments such as Jenkins Weave AIM
- Expertise in implementing and managing highavailability infrastructure solutions with automatic failover
- Expertise in designing building and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Knowledge of Electronic Trading and Equities Futures and Options Exchange Connectivity in global markets is desirable
- Experience with Splunk Grafana and other monitoring tools
