Your mission
- Manage projects installing BK Vibro hardware and software at customer sites in the Oil & Gas Power Generation and other process industries.
- Handson site commissioning work for new installed systems and maintenance of existing systems. This includes loop checks transducer installations/checkout and system configurations/upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance to mechanical and electrical trade labor.
- Complete electrical installation designs using AutoCAD (network architectures machine train diagrams jbox layouts wiring terminations).
- Instruct product related training courses to customer.
- Mechanical designs for proximity probe transducer installation (machine modification and bracket designs).
- Complete installation/project documentation.
- Monitor site safety during project .
- Ensure service jobs are executed in accordance within budget and in a timely manner within customers schedule.
- Understand contractual commitments.
- Use critical thinking to identify and resolve potential installation/configuration problems.
- Assist Sales team with identifying proper instrumentation application and service scope for potential sales opportunities. This may include customer visits and machine walkdowns for selling Full Scope Solutions (hardware software and services).
- Assist Tech Support responding to external and internal customers inquiries on Product Application.
Your profile
- Bacherlors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in installing commissioning and maintaining Vibration Protection and Diagnostic Condition Monitoring Systems in both the Oil & Gas and Power Generation Industry.
- Electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Handson approach.
- Willing to travel up to 60 and work significant overtime.
- Possess a valid passport or able to obtain.
- Vibration CAT II (or equivalent) certified is desirable.
- Knowledge of configuring computer servers and understand general network architectures is desirable.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Fluent in written and spoken English further language skills desirable.
- Knowledge of machinist tools and electrical trade is desirable.
- Lift minimum 50 lbs.
- Stand for long periods.
- Stoop and crawl in and around machinery while working with hand tools.
- Climb Ladders 20 feet high.
- Climb several flights of stairs while carrying equipment up to 20 lbs.
- Work drugfree on a job site including any prescription narcotic painkillers.
- Work up to six straight days with 12hour shifts.
- Work up to 18 days in a 3week period.
- Travel in a plane on a flight up to 12 hours nonstop.
