The pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.
Duration of Summer Season Camp

Are you a culinary enthusiast with a knack for maintenance and a passion for making a difference AbilityFirst is seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Housekeeping Assistant for our scenic 10acre campsite in the San Bernardino mountains. This unique role is crucial in providing and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our campers and staff.
Your Role
- Directly reports to the Facilities Manager but works daily with the housekeeping/maintenance team.
- Under the direction of the Facilities Manager maintains camp facilities in a sanitary and orderly fashion performs miscellaneous manual labor and other related work as requested.
- Daily tasks include: cleaning all bathrooms sweeping and mopping the dining hall sweeping walkways vacuuming loading and offloading of trucks weeding watering and special projects assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Works as food server in the dining hall during each meal and clean up dining area after each meal (sweeping and mopping).
- In an emergency assumes responsibility for any job deemed necessary by the Camp Director to ensure the safety of all campers and staff.
Qualifications
Were Looking For
- Must be at least 18years of age.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions re: work assignment check list.
- The physical ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift carry push and pull objects related to the tasks of housekeeping and maintenance.
- Must agree to abide by AbilityFirst rules and policies.
- All offers of employment are contingent on passing abackground check and a preemployment physical exam which includes a drug screen.
