About the role
The Financial Services team within S& M&A Operations is a successful growing and supportive team that specialises in helping clients pre transaction by assessing FS companies operations and technology and identifying value creation opportunities as well as helping clients post deal with fastpaced transformation programmes including planning operational separations and mergers. We routinely collaborate with PwCs wider practice (e.g. Transaction Services Strategy & Consulting) as part of our go to market approach.
We comprise both careerconsultants and people from industry and welcome diversity of experience in our hires.
The job will require some degree of travel though our clients are more and more accustomed to working offsite. As a team we are committed to working collaboratively at least 3 days per week alongside some flexibility which is built on twoway trust.
What your days will look like:
As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:
Leading highprofile M&A transactions technology engagements including IT separations IT integrations and technology due diligence projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
Managing and delivering large and small projects by developing the project team assessing engagement risks throughout driving conclusions and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
Developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Proactively assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients
Training coaching and supervising staff
Being responsible for the financial management of clients
Leading business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contributing to the development of your own and the teams technical skills
The skills & experience were looking for:
Either
Experience of working in an IT role in financial services or an IT role in the financial services industry ideally Banking Payments Insurance or Asset and Wealth Management
OR
Experienced in IT separation IT integration and/or technology due diligence
In addition to:
Awareness of common IT application systems in one or more financial services subsectors and awareness of common IT infrastructure
Ability to understand the impact of IT on commercial financial and operational aspects of a business ideally in the context of a transaction
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business leaders on technology matters
Excellent quantitative and written skills able to build analysis or an evidence base to support a position often in situations with imperfect or incomplete information
Comfortable under pressure and managing through ambiguity to deliver tasks in an environment where there are many unknowns
Comfort around financial analysis and understanding of the drivers of financial information
