The Lincoln Community School (LCS) is seeking candidates to serve as parttime literacy interventionist. This is a fullyear longterm sub position beginning in August. We are seeking candidates who can commit to no less than .5 and no more than .8. There may be some flexibility with scheduled days/ qualifications:Experience as a literacy interventionist in an elementary school settingLicensed in Vermont as a K6 elementary educator special educator reading/literacy specialist or comparable teaching licenseExpertise and experience in literacy instruction and assessmentDemonstrated ability to create a flexible innovative joyful learning environmentBe able to apply best practices for teaching and learning within the context of a MultiTiered System of Support and proficiencybased learning Have an understanding of the developmental milestones of students at intermediate and middle classroom management that incorporates PBiS Responsive Classroom and a traumainformed practiceAbility to collaborate with colleagues students families and the qualifications:Three years of experience in a comparable positionThe Lincoln Community School is a K6 school of 76 students nestled along the New Haven River on the western slope of the Green Mountains in Vermont.
