Purpose of the job:

This position will manage the overall electrcial and instrumentation team and processes throughout the pulp and paper mill. The candidate will support and develop the E&I team members to ensure a safe work environment and reliable equipment operation. The candidate will work closely with the other maintenance leaders to drive continuous improvement throughout the mill.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis
  • Degree in electrical engineering preferred.
  • Additional education of AB PowerFlex drives Rockwell PLCs ABB and Valmet DCS systems and industrial power distribution is preferred.

Five or more years working in a manufacturing environment. Paper industry experience preferred.

Electrical Managersresponsibilities including the following:

  • Must follow AhlstromMunksjs manufacturing and hygiene processes procedures and policies as applicable to the positions areas of responsibility in order to meet and maintain the safety quality and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
  • Responsible for a variety of duties including safety training and followups supporting job planning and failure analysis design improvements NEC code interpretations NFPA 70 PLC DCS and drive programming and project management.
  • Problem solving out legacy rework to improve first time right of the E&I Team.
  • Provide training and development and enhance systems to maximize E/I team efficiencies.
