Summary:
A company that specializes in Petroleum Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead daily onsite operations and help drive projects to successful completion. The right candidate will take ownership of scheduling site coordination and crew supervision while ensuring that all work aligns with established safety protocols timelines and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee field operations to ensure projects are progressing according to plan.
* Coordinate daytoday labor material usage and equipment allocation.
* Direct the work of subcontractors site staff and trades maintaining strong quality and safety standards.
* Conduct regular walkthroughs and site inspections to identify potential risks and ensure workmanship meets expectations.
* Monitor timelines and proactively troubleshoot delays or issues.
* Track deliveries and inventory to minimize downtime and material waste.
* Maintain site documentation including logs reports and project records.
* Serve as the liaison between the field and key stakeholders including project managers clients architects and engineers.
* Interpret construction plans and specifications to confirm work is being executed accurately.
Requirements:
* Background in retail or commercial fueling construction installing underground/above ground tanks and pump systems
* 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with a handson approach to managing field operations.
* Familiarity with construction codes safety practices and relevant compliance standards.
* Proficiency with construction management tools and software.
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
* Experience with servicefocused platforms is a plus.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
* A degree in construction management engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not required for candidates with substantial field experience.
