Job Description
Are you a detailoriented Draughtsperson with handson experience in mining process equipment design Were currently partnering with a respected engineering firm that supplies innovative process solutions to the mining industry and theyre looking for a talented individual to join their dynamic design team.
Duties & Responsibilities
About the Role:
As a Draughtsperson you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed drawings and models of mining process equipment including but not limited to crushers screens conveyors pumps and tanks. Youll work closely with mechanical engineers and project managers to deliver highquality design documentation that meets both functional and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mining process equipment using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Inventor SolidWorks)
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards and client specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to resolve design issues
- Revise existing drawings based on design changes or feedback
- Assist in maintaining a comprehensive design library and documentation system
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of mining process equipment and related mechanical systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor SolidWorks or similar)
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to design work
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering Drafting or similar
