Reporting to: Executive Manager
Purpose of the Role:
The Business Manager is responsible for the overall operational efficiency of the organization including operational maintenance financial health personnel development and customer and community engagement. The goal is to ensure sustainable growth optimal service delivery and continuous strategic improvement.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
Ensure the management system is implemented and kept up to date according to the scorecard.
Manage quality by tracking complaints product and service standards and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Develop and implement asset management plans for physical assets with timelines for improvement.
Develop and manage risk management strategies including Health & Safety business risks and security for vehicles premises and personnel.
Monitor and improve site cleanliness and process flows with clearly marked plans.
Plan manage and complete ad hoc projects as agreed within budget and on time.
2. Financial Management
Maintain expenses within the approved budget.
Ensure revenue growth.
Proactively manage cash flow and address any issues in advance.
Keep debtors under 30 days at monthend.
Maintain the asset register according to SOPs and ensure asset losses are minimized.
Follow financial SOPs without deviations and improve the debtors book as needed.
3. Human Resource Management
Ensure adherence to the disciplinary code and manage staff to reduce disciplinary actions.
Implement all SOPs as per the policy and ensure all employees have access to the relevant SOPs.
Develop and implement induction and evaluation processes with measurable improvement in staff output.
Set up training plans for all staff members and ensure alignment with .
Promote employee wellness by providing regular support and guidance.
4. Marketing and Client Engagement
Develop and implement measurable action plans for client contact and followup with existing new and lost clients to increase business.
Develop and implement internal marketing strategies monthly to grow the business.
Increase visibility and involvement in the community; act as the face of the business.

Minimum Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Business Management / Finance / Industrial Psychology / or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a management role.
Knowledge of SOP implementation and risk management is essential.
