The Integrated Preschool Program provides an educational experience for students ages 35 with disabilities in the areas of developmental delay communication and/or autism spectrum. Students within this program may require direct and specific teaching utilizing ABA principles and Discrete must have experience working with students on the autism spectrum communication delays or developmental delays. Candidates must have experience with data collection and analysis and development of IEP goals and objectives. Further experience is required in the application of ABA principles and Discrete Teaching. Additional requirements:*Knowledge of preschool standards required.*Ability to develop positive relationships with young people and to work well with school staff members. *Understanding of the academic and the social/emotional needs of children. *Create a well organized smooth functioning environment. *Ability to assess and analyze data to determine learning strategies and interventions to support growth and development.*Participate in available professional development activities appropriate to district must have experience with the writing of IEP goals and objectives and the ability to collect student data analyze data and accurately report academic progression on progress reports and within Team Meetings. The candidate will be required to effectively communicate and collaborate with all staff to support the social/emotional/behavioral/academic needs of the students. Candidate must also effectively communicate with parents and outside agency providers. Experience with the implementation of Lively Letters and OWL curriculum preferred. Working knowledge of VBMAPP preferred. EDUCATIONAL TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:A Teacher should be DESE certified have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in the appropriate content area and hold a valid Massachusetts Teacher Certificate. Director of Learning- Provide direct instruction for students.
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences and learning styles.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities and materials and equipment that reflect understanding of learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Manage student behavior to achieve an effective learning environment and in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to determine instructional goals objectives and methods according to district requirements.
- Provide timely and appropriate plans for substitutes as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning through formal and informal testing.
- Persistent belief in the potential for all students to succeed academically with an assetbased mindset
- Ability to communicate respectfully and in a culturally proficient manner with parents/guardians about student progress and language acquisition
- Ability to analyze and utilize student data to develop and/or cocreate curriculum and instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
