We are excited to support a leading Yorkshire law firm in their search for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their growing York office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 3 years PQE to take the next step in their career working within a dedicated and supportive team advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contracts of Employment: Draft and review employment contracts policies and procedures.
- Discrimination Claims: Advise clients on discrimination matters ensuring compliance with equality and diversity laws.
- Disciplinary and Grievance Issues: Guide clients through disciplinary processes and grievance procedures.
- Settlement Agreements: Draft negotiate and advise on settlement agreements for both employers and employees.
- TUPE Guidance: Provide clear and practical advice on TUPE regulations and business transfers.
- Unfair Dismissal Claims: Handle unfair dismissal cases from initial advice through to tribunal hearings.
- Employment Tribunals: Represent clients in employment tribunal claims preparing evidence drafting pleadings and conducting advocacy.
- Reorganisations and Redundancies: Advise businesses on restructuring processes including redundancy procedures consultations and employee rights.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 3 years PQE in Employment Law with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage a broad range of employment matters.
- Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Be confident in advising both employers and employees across a variety of sectors.
- Have experience representing clients in Employment Tribunals and providing practical solutionfocused advice.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent organisational skills ensuring high standards of work and meeting deadlines.
- Be proactive in business development and keen to contribute to the continued growth of the employment department.
