Job Title: Employment Solicitor 3 years PQE

Location: York
Salary:DOE

We are excited to support a leading Yorkshire law firm in their search for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their growing York office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 3 years PQE to take the next step in their career working within a dedicated and supportive team advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contracts of Employment: Draft and review employment contracts policies and procedures.
  • Discrimination Claims: Advise clients on discrimination matters ensuring compliance with equality and diversity laws.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Issues: Guide clients through disciplinary processes and grievance procedures.
  • Settlement Agreements: Draft negotiate and advise on settlement agreements for both employers and employees.
  • TUPE Guidance: Provide clear and practical advice on TUPE regulations and business transfers.
  • Unfair Dismissal Claims: Handle unfair dismissal cases from initial advice through to tribunal hearings.
  • Employment Tribunals: Represent clients in employment tribunal claims preparing evidence drafting pleadings and conducting advocacy.
  • Reorganisations and Redundancies: Advise businesses on restructuring processes including redundancy procedures consultations and employee rights.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 3 years PQE in Employment Law with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage a broad range of employment matters.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Be confident in advising both employers and employees across a variety of sectors.
  • Have experience representing clients in Employment Tribunals and providing practical solutionfocused advice.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent organisational skills ensuring high standards of work and meeting deadlines.
  • Be proactive in business development and keen to contribute to the continued growth of the employment department.
