Were launching our exciting new consumer product and were looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about innovation customer experience and building relationships to join our team! This is not your typical sales role this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the ground level where youll play a critical part in shaping how our product scales and evolves.

Youll be the face and voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles and be at the forefront of introducing our new product to the market. Youll work directly with customers not just to sell but to engage educate inform and truly understand their needs. If you love building connections being part of a products evolution and providing exceptional customer experiences this role is for you!

You will be contracted to work 3 days a week in the office and be required to travel between Brighton London and Weybridge office locations. This role will also require you to work 2 Saturdays per month and be flexible for shift work ranging between 8am8pm.

This role will include a generous commission scheme and a generous car allowance as part of the overall package.

Please note that you must have a valid UK driving licence & be comfortable to drive!

What youll do

    • Speak to customers interested in purchasing an electric vehicle and qualifying the right one for them
    • Manage the end to end sales pipeline with customers from lead through to order and deliver sales in line with targets
    • Continue planning and targeting of the acquisition of new customers through extensive product and process testing (this could be office based work or on the road)
    • Provide excellent customer service both through the sales process and also in aftersales customer care
    • Strategically collaborate closely with internal stakeholders building strong relationships across the business especially during test phases in order to build your sales pipeline
    • Proactively seeking and recording customer feedback to ensure that customers are having the best experience and we as a business are exploring the right areas to provide a high quality service
    • Educate customers on transitioning to the wonderful world of electric leasing informing them of everything they need to know in order to create a Greener. Fairer. Future.

What youll need

    • A valid UK driving licence is required to facilitate test drives and travel as needed to meet business requirements.
    • Previous B2C sales experience and/or a strong passion for Electric Vehicles sustainability and/or the automotive industry
    • A start up/entrepreneurial and adaptable mindset to deal with ongoing change in a fast moving business through its testing phase
    • Flexibility in working hours/days is required as the role will involve extensive product testing and may require participation in weekend events and travel for on the road activities
    • Proven track record of working in a target driven role providing excellent customer service
    • A genuine passion for going above and beyond for customers and business growth
    • A constant focus on improving and developing personally and within a business
    • Ideally if you have experience within fleet or leasing this is a bonus!
