Our intern located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa city IA will be learning how to safely sample and treat water. This group maintains water treatment and measures water quality for buildings that are utilizing water softening reverse osmosis deionization distillation processes and swimming pool and spa water quality as well as heating and cooling loops.
Everyday is different in this internship. A typical day will include independently learning and ultimately conducting water sampling using prescribed techniques and some light maintenance. You may assist with retrieval and analysis of sampling results developing and maintaining trending of readings to help identify maintenance needs or design flaws leading to poor quality water. You may also assist with the of m inventory tracking using a variety of computer programs and will learn to perform analysis of key data indicating need for replacement or upgrade of equipment to ensure quality water is delivered.
Objectives:
We are very flexible during the school year you can come in and train during any of our operating shifts gaining hours and operational experience. You will work rotating shifts on assigned weekends we operate three shifts).

Salary Range: $20.00 $32.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
