Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Verifying patients identity and reviewing physicians orders before beginning xray procedures.
- Using xray equipment to take radiographic images of patients per physicians orders.
- Explaining xray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
- Positioning patients accordingly which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
- Limiting patients exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
- Ensuring that the xrays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures
- Ensuring that the xray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
- Promptly notifying management and technician of damaged or malfunctioning xray equipment.
- Assist with inventory of supplies
- Proactive to help others in a clinical setting
Qualifications:
- License:Active Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the State of Florida
- Certification:AHA BLS AART R
- Experience:New graduates accepted
- Education:Completion of a formal Radiology Tech program
- Athena EMR preferred
Pay Scale:Depends on experience can be discussed in your initial phone call or via email benefit offer.
